Bob Novak, Chicago Columnist, Diagnosed with Brain Tumor

Syndicated Chicago Sun-Times columnist Robert Novak, also known as Bob Novak, has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. The 77-year-old released a statement saying the tumor was found Sunday after he was rushed to Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

He is receiving treatment at a Boston hospital.

Novak most recently made headlines when he hit a pedestrian in Washington, D.C. The writer hit a man crossing a Washington street on a crosswalk. He kept driving and was chased down by a cyclist the witnessed the accident.

Novak said he was unaware he hit anyone. “I didn’t know I hit him…I feel terrible. He’s not dead, that’s the main thing,” Novak said.
