Former Bosnian Serb Leader Radovan Karadzic Extradited to Netherlands, to Face UN War-Crimes Tribunal

Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic has been extradited to the Netherlands where he will face a UN war-crimes tribunal to hear charges leveled against him regarding crimes against humanity and genocide.

Karadzic, arrested earlier this month in Belgrade after 13-years in hiding, will appear before the International Criminal Tribunal in The Hague where he will be allowed to enter a plea or wait 30 days before answering to the charges.

Currently held at a UN detention center, Karadzic had been sought for his actions during the Bosnian conflicts in the 1990s.
