Pro wrestler Jim Neidhart, known as The Anvil, is being held at a Florida jail after a bizarre incident involving stolen prescription medications. According to an arrest report, Neidhart was pumping gas in Thonotosassa on Sunday when he began yelling and opening multiple bottles of pills.
Neidhart, 55, was observed “ingesting multiple pills that he dropped on the ground while inside the trunk of the vehicle,” the report says. Witnesses called authorities and Neidhart was arrested. Prescriptions of Oxycontin and methadone that belonged to his neighbor, Mary Cutillo, were found in his vehicle. Cutillo had previously reported her prescriptions had been stolen from her home.
Neidhart has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of trafficking illegal drugs, one count of burglary and one count of grand theft.
Neidhart was part of the WWF from 1985 to 1992. He was wrestling partners with his brother-in-law Bret Hart, also known as The Hitman.
