Leah DeVon Up and Coming Atlanta Singer Speaks with Rebecca Firth at YourFindit About Her Life in the Music Industry

Leah DeVon recently spoke with YourFindit’s Rebecca Firth in an audio interview to talk about her journey as an entertainer in the music industry.  Originally from Fort Walton Beach, Florida, DeVon moved to Atlanta, Georgia to actively pursue her career as a singer.  Inspired by Nancy Wilson, Lionel Richie and Chante Moore, DeVon chose Atlanta for it’s strong music scene and moved there two weeks after her college graduation.

Singing professionally for over six years, DeVon has had the pleasure of opening for major artists such as The Backstreet Boys, Destinys Child, Chaka Khan and Earth Wind & Fire.  She also recorded with Kashif, the popular music producer who worked with Whitney Houston, Kenny G and Mariah Carey. 

Currently DeVon is keeping herself busy with multiple shows including an International Tour in Italy.  2008 has been a busy year for her after taking part in the Armed Forces Entertainment as well as acting as the face of Divas Choice fine jewelry.  The jewelry is designed by award winning designer Steven Zale and is also represented by Badgley Mischka of Seventeen Magazine and Rachel Hunter.

Within DeVon’s several years of performing, she is most grateful for the opportunities she’s had.  Of all the lessons that she has learned, the most important has been to “do as much for yourself as you can” and to research the people she works with.

Leah DeVon will be in Birmingham, Alabama for the Obama 08 Outreach Event to Save Our Children Saturday, August 2.  She will then interview with multiple radio stations worldwide for the following months until she leaves for her Promotional Tour in Italy (Milan and Florence) in October.
