12-Year-Old Boy Shoots and Kills Mother after Argument

A 12-year-old Arizona boy has been booked into the Cochise County detention center after being charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of his mother.

Police were called to the home of Sara Madrid on Friday and found the 34-year-old mother shot to death.

According to police the boy had been in an argument involving his mother and stepfather. The parents left the house but when they returned the boy opened fire on his mother.
