Floyd Mayweather Jr Arrested on Felony Theft Charge

Floyd Mayweather Jr. was arrested in Las Vegas on Friday after his ex-girlfriend filed a domestic violence complaint. Josie Harris requested a protection order Thursday claiming the boxer punched her in the face and twisted her arm while she cried out for one of their 3 children to call 911. Harris was treated at a Las Vegas hospital for minor injuries.

"Floyd has threatened to have other people do harm to me as well and if [there] is a way I can be protected from that please help me," Harris wrote in her request for a protection order.

Harris also accuses Mayweather,  known as Money, of stealing her iPhone. Mayweather has been charged with grand larceny for allegedly stealing the phone. He has not been charged in the domestic violence allegations.

"He did not commit any grand larceny," Mayweather’s lawyer tells The Associated Press. "Josie can't find her iPhone. We're attempting to find it or replace it. We'll cooperate in the investigation. We expect to get the matter resolved."
