Datascope Corp (NASDAQ:DSCP) to Release Q4 2008 Earnings August 11
Datascope Corp (NASDAQ:DSCP) will release the fourth quarter earnings for 2008 on Monday, August 11. The company will hold a conference cal the following day on the 12th at 12:00 pm ET to review the financial results. The call will be lead by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Lawrence Saper, Chief Operation Officer Antonio Laudani, and the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer Henry Scaramelli. Datascope Corp. is a diversified medical device company that develops, manufactures and markets products for clinical health care markets in interventional cardiology and radiology, cardiovascular and vascular surgery, anesthesiology, emergency medicine and critical care. It has four product lines that are aggregated into two reportable segments, Cardiac Assist/Monitoring Products and Interventional/Vascular Products.
The Cardiac Assist/Monitoring Products segment accounts for 87% of total sales. Its four major product lines are Cardiac Assist, Patient Monitoring, Vascular Products and Interventional Products.
During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2007, the Company acquired Artema Medical AB, manufacturer of gas analyzers, which identify and measure the concentration of anesthetic agents used during surgery. In May 2008, the Company announced that it has closed the previously announced sale of its Patient Monitoring division to a subsidiary of Mindray Medical International Ltd.
