EcoHealth & Wellness had joined East Cooper Psychiatric Solutions to announce an Autism Continuing Education Event (3 CEU’s) for health care professionals including physicians, occupational therapists, teachers, counselors, paraprofessionals and the general public. This is an evening event to inform and connect the professional community about cutting edge interventions for the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders in the greater Charleston area.
Research shows that many individuals with autism spectrum disorders have underlying issues that frequently go undiagnosed and can cause or exacerbate symptoms of autism. These problems can include vitamin and mineral deficiencies, food allergies and sensitivities, chronic viruses, bacterial and fungal infections, chronic diarrhea or constipation, impaired immune function, heavy metal toxicity, neuro-inflammation and more. When these issues are addressed and resolved, the symptoms of autism can be dramatically reduced.
This exciting Continuing Education Event is to help professionals within the autism community have the resources they need to make informed decisions about children on autistic spectrum. The purpose is to relay research, therapies and treatment information that many professionals have found to be helpful.
The Autism Continuing Educational Event will be hosted by Elizabeth Evans, LISW-CP, Christopher Cosgrove, LMPT, and Tiffany Jackson, ND. It will be held at Rivertowne Country Club in Mount Pleasant, SC on Thursday, October 21 from 5:30-8:30pm. Refreshments will be provided. Pre-registration is required ($50.00 for pre-registration, $75.00 after October 1).
