Federal Agent Killed after Shooting at South Florida Post Office

A federal agent shot outside the South Florida Mail Processing Center in Pembroke Pines on Tuesday morning has died.

Police are now searching for a middle-age man believed to be responsible for the murder that took place after an argument broke out in the parking lot of the post office.

The shooting took place around 9:00 a.m. and several witnesses spotted the shooter fleeing in a dark-colored Chrysler 300.

After the shooting the agent, reported to be a member of the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Task Force, was taken to the Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL in critical condition but died shortly after being admitted.
