American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Los Angeles

An American Airlines flight destined for Honolulu, Hawaii made an emergency landing at LAX in Los Angeles after smoke was detected in the cabin of the plane.

American Airlines 757 Flight 81 was en route from Los Angeles to Hawaii when the reports of smoke were noted about an hour into the flight.

The pilot radioed to LAX and brought the flight back. Emergency chutes were deployed after landing and passengers exited via the inflatable slides.

There has been no word on what caused the smoke.
