U.S. Military Jury Finds Salim Hamdan, Former Driver for Osama bin Laden, Guilty of Terrorism Charges

Salim Hamdan, a former driver for al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, has been found guilty by a U.S. military jury in Guantanamo Bay. Hamdan had been facing charges related to terrorism in what was the first full war crimes tribunal held at the controversial U.S. facility in Cuba.

Hamdan had been facing numerous charges related to participation in terrorism and while he was found guilty on several charges he was exonerated on others.

According to reports Hamdan is now facing life in prison.
