Bus Beheading Suspect Vince Weiguang Li Pleads with Court to Kill Him

A Chinese immigrant accused of stabbing, beheading and eating a man on a Greyhound bus pleaded with a Canadian court to “please kill me.” Vince Weiguang Li was charged with second-degree murder after killing 22-year-old Tim McLean last Wednesday on board a Greyhound bus.

Witnesses say Li’s attack appeared to be unprovoked. He stabbed McLean dozens of times before cutting off his head and showing it to passengers. Li then began “hacking” at the body and eating pieces of it.

According to a police report submitted to the court by prosecutor Joyce Dalmyn says officers at the scene found an ear, node, and part of a mouth in a plastic bag in Li’s pocket. Dalmyn used the evidence Tuesday in a request to have Li undergo psychiatric evaluation.

When a judge asked him if he wanted a lawyer, Li would only say, “Please kill me.” Li is due back in court on September 8.
