Gilbert Arenas Spends $1 Million on Playboy Mansion-Style Pool

Gilbert Arenas spent over a $1 million on his swimming pool as a gift to himself after signing his new contract with the Washington Wizards.

Arenas, a three-time NBA All-Star, signed a six-year, $111 million deal to come back to the Wizards, just days after the team also resigned Antawn Jamison. Arenas took a deal that was worth $16 million less than the maximum amount he could have earned in order to keep Jamison.

Arenas then used his next deal and spent much of his new fortune on a $1 million swimming pool that rivals Hugh Hefner's pool at the Playboy Mansion. The pool was reportedly designed by the same person that did Hefner's.

The swimming pool has two grottos and three different fish tanks: one going in the "grotto," one in the front hall, and one in the basement. The tank in the basement will have a recess with a couch, allowing Arenas to look up at fish.

The pool is set one a stone mountain with a waterfall. In the basement of the pool, Arenas has a mural and a flat screen TV. The work is scheduled to be finished in August.

The pictures of his pool were first published by a blog on Washington Post's website. Arenas, who is best known to fans as "Agent Zero," has arguably the most popular blog of all NBA players.
