Maxim Power Corp (TSE:MXG) to Release Q2 2008 Earnings August 14

Maxim Powe Corp (TSE:MXG) will release the second quarter earnings for 2008 on Thursday, August 14.  The financial results will be posted on the company’s website at maximpowercorp.com/x_finance.htm.

Maxim Power Corp. (MAXIM) is an independent power producer engaged in the acquisition, development, ownership and operation of power generation facilities and the sale of electricity and thermal energy.

As of December 31, 2007, the Company is focused on power projects that are between 50 megawatt (MW) and 150 megawatt in size and those, which utilize carbon based fuels (natural gas, coal and biogas). MAXIM has 32 power plants in Western Canada, United States, and France, having 492 megawatt of electric and 125 megawatt of thermal net generating capacity. On March 15, 2007, MAXIM completed the sale of another European subsidiary, Maxim Greenpower GmbH.
