Dairy Queen, the popular ice-cream and fast food chain, hosts its annual Miracle Treat Day on Thursday.
Miracle Treat Day has been a Dairy Queen event for several years, raising charitable funds every year. All proceeds from Dairy Queen Blizzard sales from participating franchises will go to the Children's Miracle Network. Dairy Queen defines "proceeds" as the sales price of the Blizzard minus ingredient costs.
According to Dairy Queen's website, the company has raised over $70 million for the Children's Miracle Network since the inception of the partnership in 1984. Dairy Queen, also known as DQ, raised $4 million during the 2007 Miracle Treat Day.
Customers can go online at www.miracletreatday.com or at www.dq.com and pledge to purchase a Blizzard on Thursday. They can also directly contribute to the Children's Miracle Network hospitals. The menu for Dairy Queen is also located on the website.
Dairy Queen also offers Blizzard coupons that can be purchased on August 7 and redeemed for a Blizzard at any Dairy Queen location from August 8 to December 31, 2008.
