Famous Smoke Shop announces winner of ProCigar trip raffle

"We have a WINNER!" reads the headline on Famous Smoke Shop's ProCigar Fantasy Camp web page. Howard Young of Fort Worth, Texas was chosen from among 1,000 entrants as the winner of an all-expenses-paid trip to Santiago, the Dominican Republic, where he and a guest will be treated to the world's finest Dominican-made cigars and much more.

The email promotion, which began in July, offered the tickets as a "winner-take-all" chance to experience "the cigar vacation of a lifetime." Each ticket sold came with a free three-cigar sampler valued from $28 to over $37. The samplers included cigars created by ProCigar master blenders José Seijas (Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta), Jhonys Díaz (Macanudo, Cohiba), Hendrik Kelner (Davidoff, Avo), Guillermo Léon (La Aurora, Leon Jimenes), Manuel Quesada (Fonseca, Tributo), and the late Jean Clement of Juan Clemente cigars.

On September 3, 2010 Mr. Young was randomly chosen by computer as the official winner. He and his guest will wine, dine and enjoy cigars with some of the ProCigar master blenders mentioned above. They will also experience the cigar making process firsthand, from the cultivation of the tiny tobacco seedlings to the hand rolling of premium cigars. Plus, they'll participate in in-depth smoking sessions and tobacco tastings.
