Mayweather Faces 4 Felony Charges

The Floyd Mayweather Jr. domestic violence case continues to heat up as the undefeated boxing champ now faces a total of four felony charges. The thirty-three-year old boxer, who is currently one of the biggest names in sports, was arrested Friday on a felony charge of grand larceny. He had been accused by ex-girlfriend Josie Harris of having beaten her and having stolen her phone. Las Vegas Police arrested Mayweather, but he was released shortly thereafter on $3,000 bail pending a November 9th court appearance for the larceny charge. Now, according to a report from the Associated Press, Mayweather faces an additional three felony charges, two for felony coercion and another for felony robbery. If convicted, this star athlete could face up to 34 years in federal prison. According to the report, "The new charges name the couple's 10-year-old and 9-year-old sons as victims of coercion, for alleged threats to beat them if they called 911 or left the apartment during the scuffle." Mayweather also faces three harassment charges and a battery charge, for a grand total of 8 criminal charges. Mayweather's lawyer Richard Wright declined to immediately comment on these new charges.
