Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman has divorced from his second wife of 26 years, Myrna Colley-Lee. Freeman's lawywer, William R. Wright, told E! Online that a divorce decree was issued on Wednesday. "There's
no waiting period, there was no trial and they reached an amicable
settlement settlement," said Wright. "He is just happy that
they can both move on." Freeman, who is one of the most beloved American actors of all time, married Colley-Lee in 1984. The two were married for a large portion of Freeman's illustrious Hollywood career, which includes roles on such classic movies as
Glory,
Driving Miss Daisy, Unforgiven, The Shawshank Redemption, Se7en, Amistad, Million Dollar Baby, and other great films.
