Texas Bus Crash Kills at least 13, More than 30 Injured

A blown tire is believed to be responsible for a deadly charter bus accident that killed at least 13 people and injured more than 30 near Sherman, Texas, about 60 miles north of Dallas.

The bus, carrying 55 passengers from Houston, TX to Missouri, crashed along U.S. 75 around 12:45 a.m. Friday after the driver lost control following a tire explosion and careened over an overpass.

A church group had chartered the bus to travel to Missouri as part of a mission trip. Passengers included members of several different churches in the Houston area.

The injured were airlifted to several North Texas hospitals; several were listed in critical condition.
