Whole Foods Market Recalls Ground Beef, May be Contaminated with E. coli Bacteria

Whole Foods Market has issued a recall for ground beef sold within its stores due to a possible E. coli bacteria contamination.

The recall is for ground beef sold between June 2 and August 6 and was issued following reports of at last nine people who shopped at the store becoming sick.

Whole Foods Market said the beef related to the recall originated at the Nebraska Beef plant that has been linked to the E. coli outbreak from earlier this summer.

States that possibly sold the tainted ground beef include: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington D.C. and Canada.
