2008 Beijing Olympics Results: Men’s Basketball Scoreboard for Aug. 10, U.S.
The 2008 Beijing Olympics featured four men’s basketball games on Sunday following a pair of games played on Saturday.
In Group B play on Sunday Spain used a big third quarter to drop Greece 81-66 while the United States pounded host country China 101-70 as Dwyane Wade scored 19 points and LeBron James added 18 in the blowout. Yao Ming finished with 13 points for China.
In Group A play Croatia jumped to a big lead in the first half and never let up beat Australia 97-82 on Sunday while Lithuania surprised Argentina 79-75.
In Saturday’s action Russia dropped Iran 71-49 in Group A play and in Group B play Germany beat Angola 95-66.
