2008 Beijing Olympics Results: United States Stuns France in Men’s 4X100 Freestyle
The 2008 Beijing Olympics is still talking about Michael Phelps and the possibility of eight gold medals after the United States captured gold in the 4X100 Freestyle in an Olympic and World record time of 3:08.24
Jason Lezak, Michael Phelps, Garrett Weber-Gale and Cullen Jones stunned the French squad of Frederick Bousquet, Alain Bernard, Fabien Gilot and Amaury Leveaux, the heavy favorite in the pool.
For Phelps, it was his second gold medal at the Beijing Games. He had already set an Olympic and World record in the 400m IM.
