2008 Beijing Olympics TV Schedule for Wednesday, August 13

The 2008 Summer Olympics began Friday in Beijing, China as the world's best athletes compete for a gold medal.

The TV schedule for the Olympics activities on Wednesday has been released. NBC begins its coverage at 12:35 a.m. with women’s volleyball as the U.S. takes on Venezuela. MSNBC will air baseball as the U.S. team takes on South Korea.

Ronaldinho will lead the Brazilian soccer team against host nation China at 7:30 a.m. on Telemundo, followed by the women’s gymnastics final.

Michael Phelps will participate in the 200-meter individual medley heats, beginning at 9 p.m. on NBC. Phelps is on pace to win eight gold medals during these Olympics, setting the Olympic record for most gold medals in a single game.

Jennie Finch and the U.S. softball team will take on Canada on both CBUT and CNBC at 9 p.m. LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade lead the U.S. basketball team against Greece during the USA broadcast, which begins at 11 p.m. The game starts at 8 a.m. on Thursday, but will be during the USA broadcast that begins on Wednesday night.

The U.S. baseball team will play again as they take on the Netherlands during the USA network broadcast.

Beach volleyball, swimming, cycling, table tennis, weightlifting, field hockey, archery, men’s and women’s gymnastics, equestrian, boxing, tennis and baseball are all on Wednesday’s schedule.

2-5 p.m. (CNBC) Boxing: 48kg, 91kg-plus

3-9 p.m. (CBUT) Swimming finals; Gymnastics: men's individual all-around finals; Beach volleyball

6-8 p.m. (OXYGEN) Tennis; Equestrian: team dressage
