Angelina Jolie to Replace Tom Cruise in Spy Thriller

Angelina Jolie is reportedly in talks to star in the new spy thriller Edwin A. Salt after actor Tom Cruise dropped out of the running for the lead role. Cruise had allegedly been interested in the film for quite a while but recently dropped out of the running so writers are reworking the lead character to be a woman.

If Jolie gets the leading role, the actress will play a CIA agent accused to being a Russian spy.

Meanwhile, Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt recently welcomed their fifth and sixth children. The 33-year-old ‘Wanted’ star gave birth to twins Knox and Vivienne on July 12. She and Pitt also have a biological daughter and three adopted children.
