Mark David Chapman, Convicted Murderer of John Lennon, Denied Parole

Mark David Chapman will remain behind bars for at least another two years after parole board members denied the 53-year-old for a fifth time.

Chapman was convicted for murdering John Lennon as the former Beatle was walking outside his NYC apartment building, The Dakota, on Dec. 8 1980.

Chapman was sentenced to 20 years to life for the murder and has served his sentence at New York’s Attica Correctional Facility.
