Joseph White of Knee Deep in Stereo in YourFindit Interview

Knee Deep in Stereo is a post punk, rock band based in the college town of Cookeville, Tennessee that draws its influences from contemporary bands such as Under Oath, Anberlin and Coheed and Cambria.  Guitarist and vocalist Joseph White took the time to speak with Rebecca Firth of YourFindit to talk about the band’s music, what they’ve been doing and their plans for the future.

Formed two years ago, Knee Deep in Stereo (KDIS) and after numerous lineup changes due to scheduling conflicts they are confident in the band’s dedication to getting their music out.  The unsigned band is currently signed with Spat Records, although they are in negotiations with RCA for a new record deal.

KDIS is recording an EP in Knoxville, Tennessee.  It is expected to be released by early September.  Although the EP is currently unnamed, Echoalia seems to be a promising candidate.  The name was inspired by a mental disorder that triggers the repetition of words just spoken or heard.
