Mexican Supreme Court Minister Jesus Pelayo Dies

Mexican Supreme Court of Justice minister Jesus Gudino Pelayo died Sunday in England. According to reports, Pelayo and his wife were on vacation in London when he suffered a heart attack in his hotel room around 3 p.m. local time. Pelayo, 67, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Pelayo served as a judge to the First Hall of the Supreme Court of Justice. Earlier this year Pelayo voted in favor of same-sex marriage and voted in favor of allowing same-sex couples to adopt children.

No other details on his death were available.
