Sandy Allen, World’s Tallest Woman, Dies at 53

The world’s tallest woman has died. Sandy Allen died Wednesday at an Indiana nursing home at the age of 53. No cause of death has been announced.

Allen, who was 7 feet 7 inches tall, spent most of her life in a wheelchair due to her height and health problems. Friends say Allen had been sick for several weeks prior to her death.
