Colin Powell Could Endorse Barack Obama at Democratic National Convention

According to a report on FOX News former Secretary of State Colin Powell could be announcing his endorsement of presidential candidate Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention.

While FOX News learned of the endorsement from Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol those reports have been denied by the Powell’s spokeswoman Peggy Cifrino who said, “There’s absolutely no truth to it whatsoever. Colin Powell will not be at either convention. There’s absolutely no truth to this.”

Powell, a Republican, has yet to endorse either Obama or his likely opponent in the 2008 presidential race, Republican John McCain.

The Democratic National Convention is being held in Denver, CO from Aug. 25-28.
