Darrelle Revis Strains his left hamstring in Sundays game against New England

Jets lose Revis during victory over Patriots

Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis who held out for a contract extension strained his left hamstring Sunday during the Jets victory over New England.

Revis told reporters he isn’t ruling out the possibility of playing next week against the Dolphins Sunday night. Revis did add that the coaching staff will have a lot of input into the decision.

Revis went onto to say “(Coach) Rex (Ryan) does a great job and the trainers do, too of just being cautious with us,” Revis said. “I’m not going to step out on the field unless I actually feel 100 percent. Right now, I can feel that it’s tight. Once I don’t feel that tightness any more, then that’s when I’ll be back on the field.”

Revis prior to the showdown with New England expressed concern over his hamstring complaining during the week prior. During the Jets Pats game it appeared Revis suffered the injury when the Patriots' Randy Moss beat him during the second quarter for a touchdown.
