Michele Witchipoo Talks about Psycho Bunny and Babylon Babes in YourFindit Interview

Michele Witchipoo, author and artist of comics Psycho Bunny and Babylon Babes has been delivering her brand of exaggerated stories and hot feminine pinups in her books since 2004.  With a steady diet of offbeat, alternative influence from the streets of New York and a passion for art, Witchipoo takes pride in her work and publishes her work through her own publishing company, Witches Brew Press.  Michele recently took the time to speak with Rebecca Firth at YourFindit about her comics and the future of her work.

Psycho Bunny really started in 2003.  Inspired by the upcoming Easter holiday, Michele sketched out a cartoon rabbit on a napkin.  As a joke she drew a beer bottle in the hand of the rabbit and the rabbit’s character quickly came together.  A year later the bunny went from the napkin to a full fledged comic as it made its debut at the Hawthorne High School Comic Con in 2004.  Since then Psycho Bunny has been busy dealing with his dysfunctional family, losing jobs, getting drunk and verbally abusing the few friends he has.

Babylon Babes, more of a sketchbook than a comic, features Michele Witchipoo’s magical versions of the classic pinup featuring occult symbolism.  The first issue of Babylon Babes was released in the fall of 2004 at a club party in New York City. 

Michele Witchipoo has submitted new and original artwork to an MTV book entitled Tales of Woe by John Reid.  The book is expected to be released sometime next spring.
