Contrast Media Press Publisher Makes Observation About November

In a year of so much American Interest in China and things Chinese, an interesting symbol becomes germane.

What are we really electing in 2008? It's not Who, but What we're voting for.

As Publisher John Longenecker has said often, "We do not elect Persons as much as we elect Policy, because individuals depart, but policy endures."

Longenecker has also said that it doesn't take guts to change America, it takes guts to keep it, and he has an interesting, if not long-winded, take on it in his Good For The Country column at Townhall.com

This edition of Good For The Country features the two-symbol character wei ji as the concept of both danger and opportunity, perhaps more appropriate than some might at first think.
