everybodygreen.com Sponsors SEAPADDLE NYC Event on August 18

everybodygreen.com announced last week that they have joined the elite list of sponsors for SEAPADDLE NYC. This event is to take place on Monday, August 18^th and will act as a fundraiser for autism and Surfer’s Environmental Alliance’s causes. The SEAPADDLE event is a 28 mile surf paddle around the island of Manhattan.

everybodygreen.com has donated 400 of their ever popular No Plastic Bracelet to the S.E.A. Director Keith Berman comments, “The entire team at everybodygreen is thrilled to be a part of this special event. Not only are we assisting the Surfer’s Environmental Alliance, but we are also helping to raise awareness for autism. I genuinely hope that this marvelous event will spread the word about the wonderful organizations, like Autism Speaks, AFSNJ and COSAC.”

The S.E.A. started the Paddle NYC event in 2007 to stress the importance our marine environment in all our lives, and the difference each of us can make. They anticipate between 100 – 150 participants this year. Last year’s event drew 50 participants from as far away as Austria, England, Hawaii and California.  They are expecting an even broader international presence this year.

“The fact that over 300,000 people saw and noted this event last year is extremely exciting”, Mr. Berman continues. “Coverage of the event reached another 3,000,000. We are so excited to see this year’s turnout. Two extremely worthwhile causes at one event is always very special. With an ultimate goal to donate $1,000,000 by the end of 2008, EverybodyGreen.com donates proceeds from each sale to a selection of non-profit organizations, including Oceana, Earth Resource Foundation, The Clean Water Fund, and Heal the Bay.
