2008 Beijing Olympics Results: Australia Takes Gold in Women’s 4 x 100 Medley Relay
Australia wrapped up their pool time at the 2008 Beijing Olympics with a victory in the women’s 4 x 100 medley relay on Sunday, setting a new Olympic and world record with a time of 3:52.69.
Leisel Jones, Jessicah Schipper, Emily Seebohm and Lisbeth Trickett finished just ahead of the American squad of Dara Torres, Natalie Coughlin, Christine Magnuson and Rebecca Soni who finished in a time of 3:53.30 for silver.
China touched the wall in 3:56.11 to claim bronze.
