The company earned $181.6 million, or 70 cents a share, from $135.5 million, or 52 cents a share, in the prior-year quarter.
Revenue surged to $2.14 billion from $1.91 billion in the same quarter last year.
Analysts were looking the company to report earnings of 63 cents a share on revenue of $2.10 billion.
For the full-year 2010, the company revised its EPS upwardly to a growth of 20% or $2.76 a share. Previously, the company anticipated earnings to grow by about 15%.
Analysts currently expect earnings of $2.71 a share for the year 2010.

The company said that its profit during the recent quarter slid to $23.7 million, or 12 cents a share, from $28.9 million, or 15 cents a share, in the year-earlier period. Excluding special items, the company earned 19 cents a share in the latest quarter.
Revenue grew 20% to $219.8 million from $183.63 million.
Analysts were eyeing the company to report earnings of 14 cents per share on revenue of $211.49 million.
