Brazilian police have recovered the final piece of artwork that was stolen during a daylight heist at the Estacao Pinacoteca Museum in Sao Paulo on June 12.
According to police Picasso’s “Minotaur, Drinker and Women” was discovered in a wooded area along the side of a highway near Sao Paulo. That print was the fourth and final piece missing from the robbery, the others being another Picasso, “The Painter and the Model,” Emiliano DiCavalcanti’s “Women at the Window” and Lasar Segall’s “Couple.”
Three suspects have been arrested in the heist and another three are still being sought by police.
The value of the four pieces was estimated at $630,000 U.S.
