Algeria Struck by Deadly Blasts Targeting Military Headquarters and Bus

For the second time in as many days Algeria has been struck by deadly blasts blamed on terrorists linked to al-Qaeda.

 

On Wednesday a pair of bombs went off 15 minutes apart and killed at least 12 people and left another 48 injured in Bouira, about 62 miles southeast of the capital city of Algiers.

 

The attackers targeted a military headquarters with the first car bomb and the second car bomb hit a bus that was carrying employees of a Canadian firm who were working on a water plant.

 

On Tuesday 48 people were killed and 38 left injured after a suicide bomber ran their car into the entrance of a police college near Boumerdes.
