Tropical Storm Fay Continues to Dump Massive Amounts of Rain on Florida

Tropical Storm Fay has caused massive flooding and sparked a number of tornados across Florida as it continues to dump massive amounts of rain on the Sunshine State.

Rather than head out to sea Tropical Storm Fay has stayed close to the Florida coastline and inundated the state with heavy rains from the southwest area of Naples all the way up to the northeast city of Jacksonville.

Brevard County has reported several tornados that have damaged more than 50 homes while Melbourne has been faced with 22 inches of rain. Authorities in St. Lucie County have been airlifting residents in the low-lying areas as more than 8,000 homes have been damaged.

Before hitting Florida, Tropical Storm Fay passed over Hispaniola and Cuba leaving at least 12 deaths.
