Jay Storm Talks to YourFindit about his Music and the Jay Storm Project

Singer, songwriter Jay Storm has been performing since he was sixteen.  Working professionally since 2000, with the debut album Lets Do This, Jay has been busy developing his music and playing as many shows as possible.

Booked almost every night until May 23, Jay storm delivers a high energy performance featuring a distinct sound of funk, soul and hip hop.  In his YourFindit interview he lists his influences as Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Run DMC and Lenny Kravitz. 

Jay often performs both with guitarist Jackson Mohr in acoustic sets as well as the Jay Storm Project (JSP) for a full band experience.  The JSP lineup includes Sevan Takvoryan on lead guitar, Dave Slack on bass and backing vocals, Kenneth Brown and drums and Bob James on Rhythm and lead.  Storm feels blessed with the opportunity to work such talented musicians.  Although they’re schedules are often busy with other commitments, the JSP always finds it easy to make time for practice.

Jay Storm and the Jay Storm project is signed with JVP Entertainment. 

Jay Storm will be performing with Jackson Mohr in Cartersville, Georgia at the Flamingo’s Pub August 22.  He will return to Tennessee the next day to perform at the Bar-B-Cue in Crossville.  Although Jay’s schedule is filled for the next nine months, he hopes to take his music on tour throughout the southeast, visiting North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Florida and Alabama in 2009.
