Del Monte Foods Company (NYSE:DLM) to Release Q1 2009 Earnings August 28

Del Monte Foods Company (NYSE:DLM) will release the first quarter earnings for 2009 on Thursday, August 28.  A conference call will be held that morning at 10:00 am ET to discuss the financial results.  A webcast of the presentation will be available on the Investor Relations section of the company’s website at investors.delmonte.com.

Del Monte Foods Company (Del Monte) is a producer, distributor and marketer of branded food and pet products for the United States retail market. The Company’s principal food brands include Del Monte, StarKist, S&W, Contadina, College Inn and other brand names, and its pet food and pet snacks brands include Meow Mix, Kibbles ‘n Bits, 9Lives, Milk-Bone, Pup-Peroni, Meaty Bone, Snausages, Pounce and other brand names.

Del Monte also produces private label food and pet products. Its products are sold nationwide, in all channels serving retail markets, as well as to the United States military, certain export markets, the foodservice industry and other food processors. During the fiscal year ended April 27, 2008 (fiscal 2008), its principal facilities consisted of 17 production facilities and nine distribution centers in the United States, as well as operating facilities in American Samoa, Mexico and Venezuela.
