School Shooting in Tennessee Leaves 16-Year-Old Dead

A 16-year-old male at a Knoxville, Tennessee was shot and killed on Thursday morning when a gunman entered the Central High School cafeteria shortly after 8:00 a.m. and apparently targeted the student.

According to Knoxville chief deputy Bill Roehl the victim and suspect knew each other, stating, “This wasn't a shooting that was a random act.”

The victim was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where he died shortly after.

Central High School was placed on lockdown and students were being transported to a nearby church to be picked up by their parents.
