Mondo Primo Talks About Early Morning Margaritas and Their Album 2FN Hot

Previously Feable Weiner, Mondo Primo has toured both the US and the UK.  They have a new album and they enjoy drinking margaritas for breakfast.  The high energy powerpop, indie band knows how to have fun and they pass the energy from their music to their fans.  Band members Adam Andersen, Josh Watson and Andrew Samples spoke with Rebecca Firth of YourFindit to talk about their music and their recently released album 2FN Hot.

Mondo Primo is powerpop and influenced by “good, catchy music,” more specifically early fifties music, Ben Folds Five and Weezer.  They strive for a sound they can “bob our heads to” with a punk attitude.

Formed in 2000, Adam Andersen and Andrew Samples started as Feable Weiner, an acoustic act that played in coffee shops.  Production for 2FN Hot began in 2006.  Years later, Feable Weiner assumed a new identity symbolizing the band’s new identity and in celebration of their new album. 

2FN Hot was released August 19.  The album was produced by Matt Mahaffey who has worked with Beck, Hellogoodbye and Self.  The band will celebrate the release of their album in Nashville, Tennessee at Exit with Har Mar Superstar and The Nobility on August 28.  They will also celebrate at Patrick Sullivans in Knoxville and Wall Street in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on the 29^th and 30^th respectively.  Contact Mondo Primo for ticketing information at www.yourfindit.com/mondoprimo.
