Matt Thien describes his music as a “deep meaning acoustic driven pop with the most peaceful feeling that you’ve ever felt in your life.” Which really means, “I bang away on the acoustic guitar and I write melodies that fill your heart with funness.”  His music is heavily influenced by John Mayer, with inspiration from Michael Jackson, Matt Wertz, Dave Barnes and Andy Davis.

Working professionally as a musician in 2007, Thien dove into the music scene.  With the full support of his wife, Thien and his family moved to Atlanta from Oklahoma City to pursue his musical career.  Although he is devoted to his music, Thien has set a 2 year benchmark to do something great with his music.  At the end of the two years he will make the decision to either make music his full time career or to keep music at a part time level.  He is confident that by the end of the second year he will be completely prepared for the next big step.
