2008 Beijing Olympics Results: Badar-Uugan Enkhbat Wins Gold in Men’s Boxing Bantam Weight
Badar-Uugan Enkhbat collected Mongolia’s second gold medal of the 2008 Beijing Olympics after beating Cuba’s Yankiel Leon Alarcon in men’s boxing bantam weight division by a score of 16-5/.
The first two rounds featured an even match in which Enkhbat held a 5-4 advantage but in the third round the Mongolian opened it up and scored a 4-0 riound and blanked the Cuban again in the fourth for the gold.
Enkhbat’s gold was the second of the Olympics for Mongolia which also took gold in men’s judo.
