2008 Beijing Olympics Results: Roberto Cammarelle Earns Gold Medal in Men’s Boxing Super Heavy Weight Division
Italy’s Roberto Cammarelle captured the gold medal in men’s boxing super heavy weight division at the 2008 Beijing Olympics after stopping China’s Zhang Zhilei 19 seconds into the fourth round.
Cammarelle had build a commanding 13-4 lead heading into the final round and had a 14-4 advantage when the fight ended.
Cammarelle’s gold was the first for Italy in boxing since 1988.
