Suicide Bomber Kills at least 21 in Baghdad’s Abu Ghraib District

At least 21 people have died and another 29 have been listed as injured after a suicide bomber detonated an explosive at a banquet in Baghdad’s western district of Abu Ghraib.

The banquet was being attended by several members of the police department as well as members of the Sunni “Awakening” group.

According to reports the suicide bomber detonated a vest after getting close to the feast.

Abu Ghraib is heavily populated by Sunni Muslims and is often targeted by al-Qaeda sympathizers.
