Sudanese Plane Hijacked Shortly After Take-Off

A Sudanese plane taking off from an airport the troubled Darfur region has been hijacked.

The plane, carrying more than 100 passengers, was scheduled to land in Khartoum but was hijacked shortly after taking-off from Nyala. According to reports coming from the Sudan the plane was diverted to Libya.

Further reports have indicated a single man with a knife hijacked the plane.
