FAA Announces Widespread Delays in Flights Due to Communication Breakdown

The Federal Aviation Administration has announced that a failure in a flight plan system has grounded airlines across the country and resulted in massive delays across the United States.

According to the FAA, a facility just south of Atlanta was having difficulty processing flight plan data. Without that information being processed no plane is allowed to take off.

With the Atlanta facility experiencing problems all information is being processed through the FAA’s other processing facility in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Several airports have grounded all flights until the problem is fixed.
