Tom Cruise Being Sued By Injured Extras in WWII Film “Valkyrie”

Tom Cruise has had nothing but headaches with the World War II film “Valkyrie,” from the German government banning filming in Berlin to criticism heightened criticism of Scientology the Hollywood megastar has had to deal with a lot. Now he can add a lawsuit to the list as extras on the film are now seeking $11 million in damages from Cruise and his production company, United Artists, after they suffered broken bones, cuts and bruises during production.

 

The injuries occurred last year during a scene in which the side panel of a military truck opened as it turned a corner, dumping the extras into the street.

 

While Cruise was not on the set when the accident took place he did receive a letter, as did his partner Paula Wagner and United Artists, from a lawyer representing the injured extras in which a figure of $11 million was demanded.

 

Ariane Bluttner has said if her clients don’t receive a favorable out of court settlement she would submit acclaim in the United States.
