Famous Smoke Shop Hosts Rocky Patel Cigar Dinner in September

On Friday, September 12th, Famous Smoke Shop will host a very special evening with cigar legend, Rocky Patel, at the Silver Creek Country Club, in Hellertown, PA. Commencing at 7:00 P.M., the event includes a five course dinner with three wine pairings, a port pairing, and four (4) Rocky Patel cigars. Cost per person for the event is $125.

"This dinner offers a rare opportunity for cigar lovers to meet one of the cigar industry's most popular cigar makers up-close and personal," said Famous Smoke Shop retail store manager, Jeff Brown. "Plus, we've really gone all out on this event in terms of the food, wine, and the cigars."

The menu starts with pre-dinner hors d'oeuvres of crab cakes, petite beef Wellington, chicken satay, bruschetta, plus fruit and vegetable platters served with a Chardonnay. The appetizer course includes four types of mushrooms in phyllo dough with Mascarpone cheese, a salad course of brie with caramelized pecans, and mixed green salad served with a Pinot Grigio. Following a strawberry sorbet intermezzo served with Champagne, the entree features a 6 oz. Filet Mignon,  Maryland-style crab cakes, Duchess potatoes, and green beans almondine served with a Merlot. The dessert course will include caramel drizzled warm apple tart à la mode served with a fine Port. A cash bar will also be available for guests who choose to order liquor.

Rocky Patel cigars will be served throughout the night, including an unbanded cigar which Rocky has blended especially for this event.

"Tickets are sure to sell out fast for this event," added Brown. "I mean, how often do you get to have dinner with a cigar legend, socialize in style with other cigar lovers, and enjoy a five-course feast?"

Then, on Saturday, September 13, from 12:00 to 4:00 P.M., Rocky Patel will be making an appearance at the Famous Smoke Shop Retail Store for an in-store event and sale to promote his new Rocky Patel Summer Blend selection. The store will be running specials on all Rocky Patel cigars in stock, including the Rocky Patel Decade Torpedo, which received a "classic" '95' score in Cigar Aficionado, and Rocky will be autographing boxes of his cigars. Additionally, the store will be raffling-off a 42" HD LCD-TV. As always, refreshments will be served during the event.
